The Birelart South Africa official team will face two days of regional racing this weekend, starting with the Northern Regions Rotax event at the Vaal kart circuit on Saturday (31 August 2019) and ending with the KZN regional at iDube on Sunday (1 September 2019).
Tshepang Shisinwana and Mattao Mason will both be competing in the Northern Regions Bambino class. Tshepang tops the championship standings with a 30 point lead, while Mattao is progressing nicely in sixth place, despite missing the first two rounds of the championship.
Mini Max driver, Matthew Morrell is second in the points table and will be going all out to add a win or two to his 2019 tally.
Jordan Brooks will be the final entry for Saturday’s team line-up and will be competing in Junior Max. He is currently third in the championship with just two rounds remaining in the 2019 season.
Dhivyen Naidoo has a massive 65 point lead in the KZN Micro Max championship. He has taken 17 wins from 18 races and a good performance this weekend will seal the championship title.
Big brother, Shrien Naidoo, is also enjoying a successful year. He leads the Senior Max championship after taking 11 race wins this season. Shrien has a 29 point lead over teammate, Connor Donovan.
Connor Donovan is in top form and won’t be making things easy for Shrien. He has claimed 5 race wins this season and will be looking to use this event to close the point’s gap to that number one spot.
